Mastery tiers represent your overall AI proficiency level: Foundational, Developing, Proficient, Advanced, and Expert. You progress through tiers by maintaining a high retention score, completing lessons, and earning achievements.

Your retention score is based on four factors: review accuracy (how well you perform in spaced repetition reviews), concept retention (how well you maintain knowledge over time), review consistency (how regularly you complete reviews), and streak bonus (bonus points for learning streaks).

Achievements are earned by reaching milestones like completing your first lesson, finishing modules, maintaining streaks, achieving high retention scores, and mastering concepts. Check your dashboard to see available achievements and your progress toward earning them.

If you miss a day, your current streak resets to zero. However, your longest streak is preserved and displayed as a personal best. Don't worry - streaks are meant to encourage consistency, not create stress. Just start again!

Spaced repetition is a learning technique where you review concepts at increasing intervals over time. This is scientifically proven to improve long-term retention. Our system schedules reviews at optimal times based on how well you know each concept.

Go to the Review page from the navigation menu. You'll see how many cards are due for review. During a review session, you'll rate how well you remembered each concept, and the system adjusts future review timing accordingly.

We use the SM-2 algorithm, which adjusts intervals based on your performance. If you remember a concept easily, the next review is scheduled further out. If you struggle, reviews come sooner to reinforce the concept.

Rate each card from 1-5: (1) Complete blackout - didn't remember at all, (2) Incorrect - remembered incorrectly, (3) Difficult - remembered with difficulty, (4) Good - remembered with some effort, (5) Easy - remembered effortlessly. Be honest for the best results.
